Bette and I have been friends for what feels like forever. We worked together, though I think we laughed more than we worked. Over the years, we both got married and started our families, and no matter where life took us, we always stayed connected.
Even though we didn’t live close by, we talked often and shared what was going on in each other’s lives. We visited whenever we could, and every time felt like no time had passed at all. Bette was kind, loving, and so much fun to be around. We have so many wonderful stories—about our time together and about our children—that I will always treasure.
Bette and her family have always been a part of our family. Even though we are not related by blood, we are family in every way that matters. I am so grateful that we were able to spend special time together in Stone Harbor with Bette and her family—memories I will forever hold close to my heart.
Love,
