Elizabeth Ann Moran's Obituary
Elizabeth “Bette” Ann (McNamara) Moran, 87, of Fort Myers, FL, passed away on January 12, 2026, surrounded by her family who adored her. Bette was the devoted wife of Edward Moran for 57 years; he predeceased her in 2014. She was the loving mother of Lisa & David Antonelli of Westwood, MA, Edward & Molly Moran of Fort Myers, FL and John & Kelly Moran of Grosse Pointe Park, MI. She was the beloved grandmother of David & Katey Antonelli, Alexis, Olivia and Brian Antonelli, Patrick & Taylor Moran, Jack, Shannon, Sean and Matthew Moran. She was a proud great-grandmother to Ryan, Charles, Jack and Maggie Antonelli and Connor, Jake and Hannah Moran.
Bette was the fourth of six children born to Frank & Elizabeth McNamara in Philadelphia, PA. She is survived by her siblings, Elinor Eggleton and Thomas McNamara (Barbara), and her sisters-in-law, Eleanor McNamara and Mary Hegarty. She was predeceased by her siblings, Francis and James McNamara and Carol Devlin. She was a cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Bette was spirited and fun-loving. Throughout her life, the glass was not just half full; it was overflowing. She embraced new experiences wherever she lived, becoming an active member of the communities she called home, including Philadelphia, Toronto, Northville and Fort Myers. A friend to all who knew her, Bette will be forever remembered and deeply missed.
For ten years, Bette faced ovarian cancer with remarkable grace and courage. Through it all, she had her family, dear friends and an incredible doctor by her side. In her honor, please consider a donation to:

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Cecilia’s Church, 5632 Sunrise Drive, Fort Myers, FL.
