Ella Ann Baker's Obituary
Ella Ann Baker of Cape Coral, Florida passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 while receiving care at Hope Hospice for some recent health challenges. She was 95 years old.
Ella was born on November 5, 1927 in Guthrie, Oklahoma, the beautiful daughter to Nettie Faye (Hicks) and Robert Stephens. She was the loving wife to Frank E. Baker who sadly preceded her in passing back in the year 2000. She was the loving mother to and leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Sharon F. Meyer (William) of Virginia and also leaves behind a number extended family members and many others who were proud to call her a friend. She will be warmly remembered and fondly missed by everybody she knew.
A Funeral Service for Ella will be celebrated by Pastor Graham A. Stein at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, August 19, 2023 inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. A Visitation with Ella will take place for an hour preceding this ceremony beginning at 11:00 AM also inside the funeral home chapel. At the conclusion of these services, friends and family will recess to adjoining Memorial Gardens Cemetery where Ella will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband Frank at the Veteran's Raised Lawn section adjacent to the Iwo Jima Statue.
