Dr. Fletcher A. Reynolds II's Obituary
Dr. Fletcher A. Reynolds II of Lee County, Florida passed away on April 5, 2023. He had just celebrated his 86th birthday on March 21 with family and friends. Many knew him by the nickname "Bill".
Fletcher was born in 1937 in Nashua, NH to Odessa and Fletcher Reynolds. He was blessed to be born to a father who served as the director of the Cleveland Metro Park Zoo. This led him to pursue a career in Veterinary Medicine. Fletcher graduated from Ohio State Veterinary School in 1962. He met the love of his life, Barbara, while at school and married her in 1963. He also served in the Army from 1962 to 1964. During his career, he owned two veterinary hospitals in Brielle and Allenwood, NJ. He moved to Fort Myers, FL in August of 1992, where he worked as a relief Veterinarian until he was 79 years old. He and his wife enjoyed boating and traveling and passed these passions on to their children.
Fletcher is preceded in death by his parents and sister (Nancy Rasmussen), brother (Ralph Reynolds), son-in-law Richard Wingard Jr., his niece Mindy Chenault and Robert and Mary Rector, his cousins. Surviving members of his family include his wife Barbara Reynolds of Cape Coral, FL, his daughters, Pamela Hall (Dan) of Crossville, TN, Kimberly Wingard of Nashville, TN, Elizabeth Teeter (Michael) of Cape Coral, FL and his son Dr. Fletcher A Reynolds III (Fran) of Fort Myers, FL. He has 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and many loved cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend his Celebration of Life officiated by Pastor Ed Nugent at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 13, 2023 inside the Sanctuary at Living Faith Church, 939 SW 7th Court, Cape Coral, Florida 33991, (239) 574-3949 . At the conclusion of this Celebration, Dr. Reynolds will receive Military Funeral Honors rendered by the Honor Guard for the Harney Point Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 8463. Following these exercises, guests are welcome to join the family for a time of fellowship also to be held on the Church grounds.

Dr. Reynolds will thereafter be laid to rest during a private committal ceremony in the Green Lea Estates section of Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555.
