George A. Porch's Obituary
George A. Porch died in Fort Myers, Florida at the age of 72. He was a native of Evansville, Indiana. After graduating from the University of Evansville (B.A., 1965) and Indiana University (J.D. 1968), he spent two years in the U.S. Army and received a Bronze Star for service in Vietnam.He practiced law with Bamberger, Forman, Oswald and Hahn in Evansville with concentrated experience in public utility law, general administrative law and defense of casualty and worker’s compensation claims. He acted as General Counsel to Southern Indiana Gas and Electric Company. He also practiced law with Bowers, Harrison.Away from work, George was active in Rotary (Paul Harris Fellow) and served as President of the Evansville Bar Association, a member of the Board of Governors of the Indiana Bar Association (President of its Utility Law Section), and a Fellow of the Indiana Bar Foundation. George retired to Fort Myers, Florida. He was a member of the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord.A memorial service was held with family and friends.
