George Allen "Skip" Ounan's Obituary
George Allen “Skip” Ounan, Jr., of North Fort Myers, FL, formerly of Oscoda, MI, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at his residence following an extended illness. He was 57. He worked as a Boiler Technician in the U.S. Navy and was discharged as a Petty Officer, 3rd class. He loved being outdoors especially boating, fishing and golfing. Skip was born September 1, 1957 in Columbus, OH to George Allen Ounan and Lenora Sayre Ounan. “He was comforted by one of the simpler emotions which some human beings are lucky enough to experience. He knew when he died he would be watched by someone he loved.” (Noel Annan). In addition to his loving parents, he left behind to cherish his memory his sister, Marla (Robby) Craig; brother, Michael (Kris) Ounan; nephews, Matt, John and Nick and 3 great nephews. Graveside services in Sault Ste. Marie, MI are pending final arrangements. He will be buried in the OakLawn Memorial Gardens Chapel, Sault Ste. Marie, MI.
