Gerald J. Moorcroft's Obituary
Gerald J. Moorcroft, 66, of North Fort Myers, Florida passed away on January 29, 2013 at Hope Hospice in Fort Myers, Florida. Mr. Moorcroft was born in Trenton, New Jersey on November 1, 1946, a son of the late Thomas J. Moorcroft and Helen Greeley Moorcroft. Gerald was retired from the State of Florida Department of Taxation where he had been employed as a Tax Specialist with 24 years of faithful and dedicated service. He loved working in his rose gardens and took great pride with his passion for roses. He was a longtime member of the B.P.O.E. and the Loyal Order of the Moose. A veteran of the Army National Guard of New Jersey, Gerald relocated from New Jersey to Florida in 1988. Gerald also loved his rescue dog, Tie which gave him much enjoyment. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Mary E. Moorcroft; his step children, Sandy Wysocki Brandt, Rick Wysocki, Brian Giese and Jennifer Chadwick; several grandchildren and nieces and nephews; his siblings, Thomas Moorcroft, Richard Moorcroft and Marie Perkins. A Memorial Servie will be held Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Hope Hopsice Chapel, 2430 Diplomat Parkway E., Cape Coral, FL 33909. A Celebration of Life will be held immediately following the memorial at New Englnd Moorings Restaurant in Cape Coral, FL. In lieu of lowers memorials may be directed to Hope Hospice, 2430 Diplomat Parkway E., Cape Coral, FL 33909. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.fortmyersmemorial.com.
