Joyce, Scott and Michelle, My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Your mother and grandmother was the epitome of a true southern lady. Though I became acquainted with her during a transitional period in her life, the time I spent with her impacted me as she was an example of grace, style, humor and class. She will be missed. I taught with Gladys at Jessie Clark Jr. High in Lexington, KY and had great respect for her as an educator and a person of exemplary character. My thoughts are with her family.
Joyce; We were saddened to hear of the passing of your Mother. She and Hubert were the best neighbors we could have hoped for. They welcomed us as old friends. I was partucularly close to your Dad, a real privilege. He was a true gentleman and I was fortunate to have him as a friend. I am certain he is up there and welcomed your Mom. They were very fortunate having you as their caring and loving Daughter. Our prayers are with you. Jerry Manning
