I knew Homer from age 14 on as a dynamic and committed member of our NFM First Baptist Church. He and his wife, Esther, held many leadership positions and were always there to assist the members and programs of the church in any way that they could. Later he became an extended family member through marriage. He was a dedicated and loving father, grandfather, and especially great grandfather. He loved and was always devoted to his family. Whatever Homer did, he did it well and could always be counted upon. He will be so missed by his family and friends.Marsha (Hitzing) Clarke
I met Homer over the phone. He would call us, trying to reach his daughter. Thanks to caller ID I begun answering "Hi Homer" and we would talk. He was a super gentleman, always apologizing for having dialed the wrong number. We would wish each other a good day. I will miss getting his calls.
