Inger and I grew up in warm and safe surroundings at Stensven in Moelv, Norway. There was only one and a half year between our births and we developed a very close relationship, amongst others sleeping in opposite ends of the bed till we were around ten. During the war from -40 to -45 when Norway was occupied, our parents had a very hard time but we were to small to really understand. Jonne and Ole Johan were born a decade later than us, after the war, they were still very small when Inger left for Oslo at the age of sixteen to become a nanny . At twenty-two she moved with her emploing family to USA and keeping in touch became more difficult, but she always remembered our children for Christmas. Once the girls got a big doll that could walk and Jørn Arne had a police car, this was very unusual things to have in Moelv then and was highly appreciated. In the later years communication has become much easier and Inger has been on visits many times. Just before she fell ill we made plans together for her to come and stay for a while and visit places from our childhood.A last farewell to our dear sister from Ole Johan and Berit with families.

I’m so sorry for your loss. May you find comfort from your memories, as well as the comfort found in God’s word the bible. In the face of such tragedy, many wonder why God allows such suffering. In the bible, Romans 5:12 says, “That is why, just as through one man (Adam) sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned.” How loving of God to promise what is found at Revelation 21:4 which says, “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
