INGER S. ALDAGHSTANI's Obituary
Inger S. Aldaghstani, 79 years old passed away on Monday evening October 23, 2017. Inger passed at her daughter’s home in Cape Coral, Florida. A valiant fight with Breast Cancer, a strong will to live, along with the love and prayers of family and friends, Inger decided it was time and passed away very peacefully, comforted by her loving daughter by her bedside.Inger was born on November 3, 1937 in Moelv, Norway. One of three beautiful sisters, along with a brother whom all reside in Norway today. Inger was very fond and proud of her extended family in Norway, all of their love, and the heritage born from her wonderful Mother and Father was always present within Inger.Inger’s genuine and graceful ease of conversation with people, even strangers, was immediately felt. Inger possessed a contagious smile and a truly entertaining sense of humor. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and admiration of people who came to know her. Inger’s signature gift, shown through her constant smiling, laughter, and joking around, will never be forgotten. As a child growing up in Norway, Inger loved to cross country ski. By the age of 7, she had witnessed and endured the invading soldiers of Nazi Germany in her hometown. As a young woman, Inger made the decision she wanted to come to America. By 1960, Inger was in Washington DC, as a “Nanny” arrangement to assist a family and look after their young ones. Not long after, Inger’s charm and beauty won over a young man who had also recently immigrated to America, his name Muyaad and they were soon married. By 1962, Inger had her first child, her daughter Faye. In 1964 Inger had her second child, her son Basil.Living in Maryland in 1974, Inger made the courageous decision to move forward in her life with her children and moved to Virginia. As a single mother, Inger was determined to provide a better life for her children. Alone, she did just that working hard for many years. As her children became young adults, Inger was able to pursue new interests and enjoy life. An avid exerciser Inger loved to stay in shape, alongside her strong passion for cooking. With great excitement, Inger moved to Fort Myers, Florida in 2004. This allowed Inger to be involved with her granddaughter Jessamin, Faye’s daughter. This brought incredible joy to Inger’s life, having a close role with her granddaughter growing up. Inger truly embraced her independent lifestyle in Fort Myers. She cherished her close friendships with people living in and nearby her community. Inger always enjoyed being around babies, so late in life she felt the urge to once again be a Nanny for a few fortunate families with newborns. She smiled and she shared her graceful touch with everyone. To our loving mother up above; Tell her how we miss her, And give her all our love. And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.Inger is survived by her Daughter Faye Larkin and her son Basil Aldaghstani.
