Jack Jordan's Obituary
Jack Jordan, born July 9, 1938 in LaFollette, Tennessee died October 6, 2013 at home in Fort Myers, Florida of cancer. Jack was the son of the late Vurl and Rose Jordan and was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Jordan. He graduated from Glen Burnie High School Class of 1956. Jack served in the U.S. Navy Submarine Service and was discharged from active duty in 1961. He returned to work in the family business V. Jordan Lumber Co. in Glen Burnie, MD and continued to serve in the Naval Reserves. Upon his move to Florida, Jack was the manager and president of his family business, Swan Lake Mobile Home Village in North Fort Myers, Florida. He was a member of the Marley Park Church of the Nazarene, renamed Grace Pointe Community Church and relocated to Severn, MD. He loved and attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Fort Myers, He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 53 years, June Cline Jordan; father of Steven (Michelle) Jordan of Fort Myers, Kent (Denise) Jordan of Churchville, MD and Tara (Michael) Clark of Elkridge, MD; grandfather of Christina Jordan Harris (Jamie), Christopher (Ashley) Jordan, Courtney Glick, Weston, Elise, Dalton and Wyatt Jordan, Kendyll and Kelsie Clark, Rik and Bethani Cramer and great grandson, Josish Jordan; a sister, Carolyn Bowers, of Westminster, MD; and nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held NOVEMBER 16, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the First Church of the Nazarene in Fort Myers, Florida. Burial will be in the Field of Honor in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the choirs of Grace Pointe Community Church in Severn, MD or First Church of the Nazarene in Fort Myers, FL. The family is being assisted by Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
