JACOB LEE VANDYNE's Obituary
JACOB LEE VANDYNE, 34, of Hunter Army Airfield Savannah, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 18th, 2019 at 12:09 am. Jacob was born in Naples, Florida on November 26, 1984, the son of Terry L. VanDyne and Cathy VanDyne Franks. Jacob Lee is survived by his loving wife Katie VanDyne and his four daughters, Chloe, Mackenzie, Bailey and Jordynn, the pride and joys of his life. His father Terry, doting mother Cathy, step father Charles V. Franks and unwavering brother Zachary VanDyne. Also surviving are mother of daughters Chloe and Jordynn, Stacie VanDyne. As well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, along with numerous Army family members. Our closest families blessed to us by the Army, Adam and Sena Bauer, as well as Donald and Monique Hegwald.Jacob’s happiest and proudest moments were spent with family and friends. There was never and will never be a prouder father and husband, son and brother. It was his greatest source of joy. He was an enormous lover of deep sea fishing, boating, and gatherings of friends to grill and enjoy each other’s company. Grilling was a proud passion of his that he loved to share with everyone he knew. He was a boasting Eagles and Gators fan. Jacob took so much pride in his work as a Blackhawk Maintainer in the United States Army.Jacob’s brief life touched and impacted more people than he could have ever imagined. His laugh was contagious. His sense of humor unmatched. His beautiful heart open, pure and inviting. His caring and gigantic spirit, that drew everyone into him. A smile that lit any room. Jacob will be missed by everyone that knew and loved him. He is flying high with Wade now watching over everyone.A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, March 31, 2019 from 1-3:00 pm with service starting 3:00pm at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd. Fort Myers, FL 33907 (239) 936-0555.
