Pat was a great friend and he was always like family to me. We spent many years on the lake with me, Byron, and Pat running the boats, sitting by the fire laughing, telling stories, and jokes. Having a glass of whiskey, with a cigar, and smoked mullet. His memory will never die here and he will be forever missed. He was an amazing officer, a great friend, and the best cook for smoked mullet. R.I.P my brother to many years of fun we had together.

It was an honor to have worked with Pat and been his friends for many years. He was such a pleasure to be around, always joking with everyone. The world was a better place for having Pat Maharrey here. You will always be in our hearts and thanks for putting a smile on our faces. RIP dear friend. Our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with Vickie at this very difficult time. With Much Love, Harold & Cheryl Ford
A great Law Enforcement Officer, an caring individual and a good friend. I enjoyed working and playing with Pat during the 70’s and the 80’s. My prayers are with his family and all those whose lives he touched in so many ways. A giant of a man who leaves huge footprints in the sands of life. Rest In Peace my friend and Brother!

Pat was a good friend with a heart of gold and an unforgettable sense of humor. It’s difficult to put into words the way I feel about your passing, Pat. I hope that some day we will meet again and until that time Rest In Peace my Good Man.
Your Forever Friend
Dick.
I served with Pat on the FMPD. He was a most honorable man and it would be impossible to give credit to all he contributed to his community and family.
His presence will be missed and is honored in all respects.
Rest in peace Pat.
To his family I offer my condolences and prayers.
