Lit a candle in memory of James Ardle McMahon
I remember Uncle Jimmy with a smile, as he was full of fun. I remember summer afternoons at the backyard pool in Babylon, eating raw clams on the half-shell served by "Junky Jim", and then cruising on the Great South Bay in the boat he captained. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. While there is sadness over his passing, there is joy in the knowledge that he is now at peace, reunited with Aunt Maureen, and embraced by God. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Dear Maura, Mary and Jim, You have our deepest sympathy for the loss of Uncle Jim. I have many fond memories of special occasions spent together at our homes on Long Island. Over the last almost twenty-five years, we had the pleasure of sharing lunch with Aunt Maureen and Uncle Jim on Sanibel, during our annual Spring break trips. Our daughter, Maureen, got to know your parents quite well over those years. She loved to swim in your parents' pool, and she was thrilled when Uncle Jim let her steer his golf cart on the course behind their home. Your father looked so much like my father, that Maureen started calling him "Papa Wally." When your father responded that he was not Papa Wally, she said "Well, you sure look like Papa Wally." We are sad that your father is no longer with us, but we find peace in the thought that he and Aunt Maureen are together again. Love, Tom, Maribeth and Maureen McMahon
With sad hearts, Margaret and I look back at the happy and fun times we shared with my brother Jim and his wife Maureen. We have faith that they are united again and resting in the arms of God. We send our condolences to their family, and hope that their memories carry them through this sad time.Walter and Margaret McMahon, Charlottesville, Virginia
Dear Maura, Mary and Jim (and family), Please accept our sincere sympathy on the loss of "Junky Jim", as I fondly remember him. He had such a great smile, warm heart and lots of love to share. I'm glad he is now with my dear Aunt Maureen! My dad and I were just talking yesterday about how your mom and dad met them in Connecticut on my parents' honeymoon and took my parents under their wing! Love to all, Patty
So glad you are at peace and back with your love,Maureen. We miss you so much Dad. All our love, Maura, Rich, Matt and Laura
We are so sorry for your loss. It must give you peace of mind knowing Jim and Maureen are together again in heaven. We so much enjoyed both of them, they were truly special people.
