Sarah and family, please allow me to express my deepest sympathy to you and your family. As a fellow paratrooper and Viet Nam veteran, Jim and I made an almost immediate connection. We were able to share many memorable stories of our younger days. I'm sure you are very proud of his service to his country and his community. He will be missed by all of us who knew him. Our condolences to the Woodby family. We knew Jim primarily as a classmate at Fort Myers High School, Class of 1958. The years seem to have passed so quickly for us all. We recall being together at a Class party at the Alderman home a few years ago, and used to run into Jim on some occassions at breakfast at Frankie's restuarant on Fowler St. His passing is a loss to us all.
Sara, Bob and I were so sad to hear of Jim's passing. I have so many great memories of working with Jim at Ft. Myers Police Dept. all of our Chinese nights out, the gambling cruise time and of course all of those discussions we shared on those late night shifts. I knew how to push his buttons to get him on his "soap box". Jim had a great personality, a huge heart and wonderful sense of humor. I so admired his love and dedication to his family. So sorry to hear of "Jimmy" passing. I was best friends with his cousin Gail many years ago. I remember Jimmy and his family so well. My prayers are with all of his family at this very sad time.

I am very sad to learn of Jim's passing. I enjoyed working for Jim at FMPD. Jim was also a very good leader as Chief of Police for the Lee County Airport Police Department. My thoughts are with the family in this difficult time.
