James C. Sowers' Obituary
James C. Sowers, born November 17, 1919, age 94, has left this life and gone to be with his Lord and Savior. He was a dedicated Christian husband, father and friend to all. He was a loyal and dedicated member of Grace United Methodist Church of Cape Coral since 1988. He was a veteran of WWII and loved his country. He was a mason since 1951. He leaves behind his loving family, daughter, Janine and son in law Rick Waddle; his grandson Bryan and wife Lisa Tobias and great granddaughters Emma (8) and Abby (6) Tobias. Juanita, Susan and Paula Sowers of Savannah, GA; Michele and David Fryman of OH; Cherie and Mike Deck of OH; Mark, Sharon and Emmy Dotson of Sebastian, FL; Melody and Greg Gannon of OH; Mitch, Missy, Sean, Jeremy and Chloe of Lakeworth, FL and many beloved neighbors, friends and church family. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Betty J. Sowers of 54 years; his parents, Margaret and Lloyd Sowers; brothers, Lawrence, Gerald and John and sisters, Julia, Eileen and Virginia. Jim’s celebration of life will be 12pm – 1pm Saturday, October 18 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home 1589 Colonial Blvd. Fort Myers.
