DWAYNE REESE: I worked with a lot of managers at Morrisons but John was the best, always professional with me, always upbeat and by far the best Manager at Morrisons, it's sad someone as good as John has went way too soon but to his wife, Anne, I give you my heartfelt condolences, to his children, your dad was a wonderful person, to his family, God bless you in your loss, a sad day but John has gone home and in a better place,
Like so many others I have MANY fond memories of John "Mr. Joy" I was 16 when I worked for him at MorrisonsI had my first car accident right in front of the restaurant , I was going to pick up my check. I had no idea what to do , John came running out and sat with me on the curb of busy 41 and helped me get through the ordeal ! That is just ONE memory that always brings a smile to my face. I was the lucky one to be able to share almost 35 years with the love of my life! When I first met John 30 years ago, he was my boss. We became good friends in a very short time. His smiling personality immediately made you aware that he was your friend for life. One of my best memories was how we sat on the sidelines and cheered when Johnny & Jeannine had their first date. You can imagine how exciting it was when they married and then were blessed with Ian & Gingi. I share the sorrow with Anne and his family and pray God will comfort them. I remember playing baseball with John in our front yard. I never saw anybody that could throw like John. He would launch the ball so high you could barely see it. Thanks for all the good and funny memories…..You were a great role model. Love you and miss you…David Stone
