John P. Fiolka, Jr., 77, a resident of Fort Myers, FL since 1998, formerly of Joliet, IL passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021 in Fort Myers, FL. He was born March 19, 1944 in Chicago, IL to the late John and Lillian Fiolka.
John was a Proud United States Army Veteran. He was a loving husband, father and a great grandfather. He loved to go hunting, camping, bowling and just being around family.
John is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Eliuth “Ellie” Fiolka of Fort Myers, FL; three children, Elizabeth Reyes of Fort Myers, FL, Ruth Lara of Greenville, SC and Allison Herring (David) of Ozark, IL; three sisters, Rosemary Hillerger(Jim) of Massachusetts, Patricia Shoemake (late Charles) of Ohio, and Carolyn Glazer (late Raymond) New Jersey; one brother, Michael Fiolka (Nancy) of Joliet, IL; eight grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; as well as one great great grandson.
A visitation will be held from 12:00 – 1:00 PM, Friday, July 9, 2021 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 1:00 PM, Friday, July 9, 2021 immediately following the visitation. Entombment will follow at the Field of Honor in Memorial Gardens Cemetery where the United States Army will present military honors
