John (Jack) Hahn, dad and grandpa entered into rest after a courageous battle with lung and heart complications on Saturday, January 23, 2021 in Fort Myers, FL at the age of 76. A resident of Fort Myers, FL since 2003, formerly of Read Obituary
Jack will be remembered by our family always. His smile was contagious and he was so kind to my children and our entire family. We always enjoyed his company and we will miss seeing him greatly.

It has taken me this long to be able to look at this tribute wall...
This was not supposed to happen, I was supposed to bring you home and get you all set up and make sure that you were safe and sound. We were supposed to do my 4 mile walks together...we were looking forward to being here to celebrate your birthday with you.
My heart is still breaking and I feel so LOST without you Dad! I wish you were here! I hope and pray that you know how much you are loved, how much you are missed, and how much I looked up to you. I’m not sure how I can get over losing you, just knowing that you were a phone call and a short flight away provided me with such a sense of security, but now I feel completely lost. No one can replace a dad, my dad.
I know you would want us to move on and be happy...just know that losing you has left such a void in my life. Please know how much you are loved, and missed. I will cherish you forever!

I first met Jack when I became good friends and roommate with Kevin back in college (Go Bronco’s!). With my family living overseas Kevin would bring me to his for breaks and holidays. Jack took me in like one of his own.
His hospitality and generosity were much appreciated and not lost on this college student. One frequent occurrence was being taken out to various golf courses where we would hack our way through trees, creeks, bunkers and backyards. Jack would with relative frequency show up with a new set of clubs (since all golfers know that is how you fix a serious slice). I was fortunate enough to be in the right place at the right time and inherited a very lightly used set of “Big Bertha” irons one year. This set is still to this day in my golf bag.
Jack – there were a lot of good shots left in those clubs… Thank You!
The Segring family from both sides of the Atlantic sends their love and thoughts to the entire Hahn family. You always have a place in our hearts.

Jack was a good friend for a long time. Always a gentleman. And a ton of fun! I will miss his smile. He was very proud of his family. I would frequently remind him that their success is due to him being a wonderful father. I know his family agrees.

Your father was a great man and a terrific business partner. Cantankerous at times but mostly always full of good humor. He was trustworthy and his business ethics were beyond reproach. I have received many tributes from his former Hahn/Seaway employees expressing how working for/with Jack has positively influenced their lives. You should be very very proud of him. He loved you guys dearly and it showed. You were fortunate to be his children.

Dad,
It’s been a week since you have been gone, and not one day has gone by that I haven’t thought about you or missed you. I am heartbroken and find it hard to believe that you’re gone. There was so much I wanted to say to you and didn’t get the chance, I only hope that you know how much I loved you, how much you meant to me, and how much I appreciated you, and always will. Thank you for always being there to support me, for always having my back, and for loving me, even when I wasn’t so lovable. Being your daughter is the greatest honor of my life, and I’m so proud to call you Dad. Thank you for being the best grandpa and great grandpa, ever. There will never be a day that goes by that I won’t think about you, and you will live on in my heart always. I love and miss you so much, dad! Thank you for being the the best dad ever.
Lois and I send our deepest condolences to Jack's family. We too will always miss him and remember his smiling face. He was the first neighbor we met at Gulf Harbour in early 2002 and an immediate friendship developed. We shared our interest in U-M football, golf, dinners together and midwestern values. Any time spent with him was always fun. I'll never forget his story about lecturing Joe Biden about medicare drug policy at the pool. Jack thought he won that discussion. Golfing with Jack was always a barrel of laughs and many lost balls. He could hit the ball further than any of us but keeping it in bounds was a challenge. The rest of us were no better so the teasing persisted. I also enjoyed going to local Friday night high school football games with him and others where we fashioned ourselves as college recruiters. A few beers after the game brought us back to reality. We enjoyed his travel stories and photo postings of his many world trips. He surely had a full life. It'd hard to think he is no longer with us but we cherish the time spent with him. We'll remember him always.

All our memories include laughter. Jack introduced us to several restaurants we would not have ever found, a fresh donut maker and to "the Love Boat" ice cream parlour,
Sad, he won't push anymore pins in on his world map.
