My memories of Jack began when we were both on the Ohio State Patrol. After leaving the Patrol we worked together at Ford where we were in charge of setting up the Body Haul Operation between Lorain Assembly Plant and Ohio Truck Plant. During the time at Ford our families were close, and later after Jack and Bonnie moved to Florida buying a motel business, I visited with my family on vacation. Jack had taught himself to play keyboard and became very good, and would visit retirement facilities and play and sing for the residents. I considered Jack and Bonnie as family and will miss him.
Bonnie, I am so sorry for your loss of Jack, and am unable to attend the funeral because I am caring for Joann who is suffering with Alzheimers Disease. I pray you are doing well and wish you the best in the future. I think of you often. Gene Smith
