John Richard Krichbaum's Obituary
John Richard Krichbaum, known by friends and family as Jack, 90, of Fort Myers, FL passed away peacefully on January 3, 2025. Jack was born February 18, 1934, to Harold and Dora (McCaulla) Krichbaum in Springfield, OH.
After high school in Springfield, Jack joined the Army National Guard, where he received an Honorable Discharge from service. Jack married Bonna May Hoberty(Bonnie) and began to raise a family of three sons, Randall Lee (Randy), John Richard Jr.(Jackie), and Todd Allan.
Jack served as an Ohio State Patrol Officer in the Springfield and Freemont areas and worked as a supervisor at Ford Motor Company in the Lorain and Avon Park assembly plants. Before retiring, Jack and Bonnie owned and operated a motel in North Fort Myers that they converted into an adult congregate living facility, Aloha Retirement Living.
Jack enjoyed roller skating, square dancing, ballroom dancing, and jitterbug. Jack entertained at dances playing keyboard and singing. He traveled Canada, Europe, and cruised the Caribbean. Most of all he enjoyed the company of his wife Bonnie, his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Jack is preceded in passing by his mother and father Dora and Harold, his siblings, Kenneth, Adella, Julia, Cora Lou, and son Jackie Jack leaves his loving memory with his survivors, brother William, wife Bonnie, sons Randy and Todd, and four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Jack’s family has entrusted Fort Myers Memorial Gardens with the tender care of his final arrangements. Service to be held there at 1589 Colonial Blvd. Fort Myers, Florida on Sunday, January 12, 2025 beginning at 9am gathering and a 10am service.
