John George Yanosik III of N. Ft. Myers, Florida, bid us farewell on June 2, 2023. He was born on July 4, 1958, in Akron, OH. John graduated from Ellet High School in 1976. John left his mark on the world leaving behind a legacy of laughter and love. He will be forever remembered as the life of the party and "as Dad."
John was the only son of Elaine A. (Demiter) Yanosik and the late John George Yanosik Jr. brother to his beloved sister Janice, and his spunky sister, the late Colleen Wilson. He knew the importance of family bonds. In 1981 Johns life got "twice as nice" with the birth of his Pete and repeat twins John Michael Yanosik and Nicole Ann Yanosik. His cousin Mikey and mom Elaine Ann were the inspiration for his kids' middle names.
Known for his love of the beach, John went to the beach every chance he got. He took his grown son Johny to Key West for a vacation, and like father like son they did the Duvall Crawl and had a great time together. And let's not forget his love of music. He loved playing the guitar with Dave Archer back in the day. They played amazing Pink Floyd songs with Archer on the 12 strings. John aka "Pete" listened to every genre from "Hey Joe" (another nickname) to classic Rock N Roll. And he loved Billy Idol and even curled his lip like him. He loved him some Eminem too. There was never a dull moment when John cranked up the tunes.
In his professional life, John showed off his mechanical abilities, following in his father's footsteps as a master mechanic. John excelled the art of fixing huge cranes and other heavy equipment on construction sites from Ft. Lauderdale to Ft. Myers, FL. He eventually retired from Cement Industries in Ft. Myers. John was extremely proud of the hard work that went into the infrastructure and development of greater Florida.
With an unwavering love for his family and friends, John cherished the bonds he formed throughout his journey. There was a big family gathering around Thanksgiving at Mike and Patricks house and John brought the kids. It was an awesome time with the whole entire family all there together. The friendships like the one he had with Mike and Leslie Holman we not just golden, but rock solid. They were his rock stars in his in his wild ride of life. And let's not forget the "Karma" reunion at the Aerosmith Concert with Mike and Leslie and Dave Archer. You never know who else might have been at that concert.
Family always meant alot to John, that was one of the reasons he moved to Florida to be near his kids.
