Johnny Ray and Gina Marie were neighbors of mine. What I remember most about Johnny Ray was he was always friendly. He always gave everyone an enthusiastic hello when he saw you. I loved seeing the two of them together as a couple. Gina Marie lights up a room. They were like a showbiz couple, but still down to earth. I was blessed with them as neighbors as I was by others there on Penzance Blvd. God bless you Gina Marie.
Johnny Ray got me started entertaining in SW Florida……love you,Cousin.
So sorry to hear, Johnny was a wonderful person that was so talented. We always enjoyed his music wherever he played. He is know with the angels & my mother Dolores, who used to listen to his music when he played at Shuckers. I know my mother is now enjoying his music in heaven with him. Bill & Sue Pucin
I have known John for some 58 years since I was a little girl. He always brought a smile to your face. I remember when he taught his niece, Tiffany, to ride a bike without training wheels during her protests but his positive attitude would not let her quit. I remember when he would make Sunday dinner, gravy and meatballs, while the Italian music was playing and him singing. He was a great cook. I remember how he made Nana smile all the time. I remember all the kids ball games, he just loved to have fun. I have so many memories but those are just a few that many may not have known. I am his sister-in-law and so sad that he died so young. R.I.P John
Over a few years of knowing Johnny Ray we played many different events together. Along the way I got to meet many new friends as I was still pretty new to the Fort Myers area. Never will forget the great times we had together with friends and family!! R.I.P. Johnny

Johnny –I will always remember the music and fun you brought everywhere you played. Thank you and your big heart for always being the first to be there to pitch in for any fellow musician and their family when in need and for bringing your music to tributes planned for my family and the families of others in sad times. You were truly a unique one of a kind type of guy that no one will ever forget. Be at peace my friend, and may you meet up with those great musicians who have gone before you to play in the best of bands in heaven and make your music go on forever, and may your family be comforted with the memory of all of the good times you gave them and may those memories keep them until you meet again.Bless you,Linda "C"
