Joseph Michael Durieux of North Fort Myers, Florida, better known simply as "Mike" to his family and friends, passed away peacefully and is now with our Lord, after a long battle with cancer at Gulf Coast Medical Center with his l Read Obituary
I worked with Debbie at the Lee County School District for many years and did not really know Mike except what I learned of him through Debbie. His battle was a long, hard battle and he fought until he could fight no more. I pray that Debbie and Kristi and his entire family and all of his friends find comfort and Peace in knowing that Mike is no longer fighting a losing battle and that he is in good hands now.
I remember Mike as always have a great personality. You could tell he loved his wife and daughter. Reading his obituary, the word "loving" was used as a descriptor to those in his family that remain. If that ain't the truth. Death is inevitable, but if you can love and be loved, you lived well. RIP Mike.
