I was Joe & Bernie's realtor a few years ago. They left a lasting impression on me. Joe was just fun and an absolute pleasure ALL of the time. I know he had a wonderful life and a wonderful wife, he was very lucky. I also know he will be greatly missed.

After my grandfather’s (John Tansey) passing, Uncle Joe & Aunt Bernie were always happy to join my brother and I for Grandfathers Day Luncheons and the like. This kind gesture made such a difference in our childhoods and will always be treasured, as will all of our memories together.

Papa Joe was my Father-in-law for 51 years as I was blessed too marry his daughter Diane in 1972. Papa took me under his wing and showed me the Love of Christ.He was my brother in Christ and He always lived it out with Love , kindness, gentleness, faithfulness and all the Fruits of the Holy Spirit. Though each of Joe’s daughters liked to be considered “the favorite” I’ll concede the honor goes to our sweet sister, Diane, who had the joy of welcoming Daddy into eternity with Jesus.
I’m so sorry for your loss Aunt Bernice. I will always remember the visit when I came down and your grandson visited as well and called him papa Joe . I loved that and the connection they had. I always wanted to call him “papa Joe” after that instead of “ Uncle Joe”. He was a very warm, kind friendly man. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
