Uncle Joe, There are so many years and so many memories. You were my babysitter, my best friend, and you let me play with your friends when I was a little girl. Then when I grew up, I babysat your kids. I always looked up to you. You always, till the last time we spoke a few weeks ago, called me Mar-Mar. You always made me laugh. Except when you spoke of Aunt Dorrie, you always teared up. I teared up too. She was my mentor as I grew up. It will not be the same without you. I called you every Veteran's Day…I was so proud of you. I remember like it was yesterday, the day you came home from Korea, I told Nana that you looked so much older. You gave so much to this life, and now that you are in a better place with Aunt Dorrie and Grandpa, be at peace my loving Uncle.
