Joseph Vincent Lesandro, 76?ápassed away June 6, 2012.?á He was born July 4, 1935 in Bronx, New York.?á He is preceeded in death by his beloved wife?áDorrie, mother Laura, natural father Andew Pattinello, step-father Jimmy Lesandro and sister Angie. ?á Joseph came to Lee County in 2005?áfrom Long Island, New York.?á He bowled in several leagues, was?áa brother in the?áKnights of Columbus and was a veteran of the Korean War. He retired?áfrom M.A.B.S.T.O.A. where he was a shop supervisor and retired from Hess Corp.?á Joe enjoyed his retirement years?áfishing, drawing, cooking and sample all sorts of foods. ?á Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Nancy Arena and her husband John of Sahuarita, Arizona, Laurie Grabowski and her husband Joe of Cape Coral, Florida, his son,?áJoey Lesandro and his his wife Phyllis of Palm Coast, Florida., brother, Anthony Patinella and his wife Cathy of Cold Springs, New York; grandchildren, Laurie, Jessica, Garrett, Nicole, Jonathan, Nicholas and Jamie; and great-granddaughters, Alana and Makayla. ?á Graveside service with military honors will be Friday, June 22nd at 11:00 AM at Sarasota National Cemetery.?á Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hopital for Children at www.shrinershopitalsforchildren.org/.?á Onlline condolences may be left at www.fortmyersmemorial.com.
