I have many great memories of Joe, including the fun years we played softball together. He and Emma always made me feel like a part of their family. He taught me many life skills, including how to keep my car running! You could always count on Joe to be there if you ever needed anything. He had a great passion for life and for everyone in his life. My wife, Jan, and I were honored to have Joe stand as my best man in our wedding 45 years ago. How can words describe a man who was so impactful yet so unassuming? He and Emma's life together was full of joy, adventure and unselfishness. All they had, all their life produced, they readily shared with others. They shared with me their son, Mark, who is so much like Joe in temperament, personality and playfulness.
