Joseph T Valla's Obituary
Joseph T Valla, 94, of Fort Myers, FL passed away peacefully on November 6, 2024. Joe was born March 9, 1930, to Joseph and Catherine (Lickman) Valla in Harwick, PA.
Joe has called Florida his home since 1954. He was a wonderful husband, amazing father and grandfather. Joe loved all kinds of sports, he was president of Fort Myers little league, he loved to travel, and he loved to have a good time. Joe was known to have a great sense of humor, and he was loved by all that knew him. He retired from the USPS after serving in the US Air Force and was involved in work and community organizations like the FLRLCA, ELKs and Knights of Columbus.
Joe is preceded in passing by his parents, sisters Elizabeth and Rosemary.
Joe leaves his loving memory with his survivors, Emma wife of 73 years, sons Thomas and Mark, daughter Donna Cook, and brother Frank, his five grandchildren Michelle, Leslie, Joey, Brynne and Jairus, along with eight great grandchildren.
Joe's family has entrusted Fort Myers Memorial Gardens with the tender care of his final arrangements. A visitation will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024, from 6pm- 8pm. Joe's funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 12,2024 at 10am at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, his burial will be held at Lee Memorial Park Cemetery at 1PM on November 12, 2024.
