I was only a child when I first met June. Her store was right next to a house we were renting on Sanibel Island. Beth and I became friends right away! I was a scraggly kid who loved to get into mischief. The Hollands stood out on the island as one of the finer families. June and Charlie made me feel welcome in their home and treated me to experiences I had never had. They even too kind me on a 3 day trip on their sailboat! Beth and I ran around in the woods and spent several years, having so much fun! I remember that June was always always dressed nice and was such a lady! Her home was always neat and her children were beautiful! I still hear June's words when I decide to get in my pool, right after I eat. She always told us we had to wait , something like 30 minutes after we ate, or we would surely get a cramp and drown! That memory brings a smile to my face! Beth and I have reconnected over the past few years, and I love her dearly! I've watched her face book posts and pictures of her and her mother. The love they shared is just beyond beautiful. ! I'm so proud of my friend, and the way she gave 100% to her momma, and for the example she has set for the rest of us. My favorite picture and post is the one of June's hands. " these hands have loved me my whole life". That really says it all. I'm praying for you Beth, and for your husband and sons, and entire family.

My heartfelt condolences to the family of June Holland. She was a very special lady and it was always a delight to be in her company. June was a great mom and I know how much she meant to you, Beth. The love between the two of you was evident in so many ways. You were a wonderful daughter and took such amazing care of her in her last few years. I am truly fortunate to have you as my daughter-in-law, Beth, and am grateful to your mom for raising such an exceptional young woman. June will live on in you and may the memories you have of all the many, many years you were lucky enough to share with her bring you comfort.Caring thoughts and prayers are with you, Kurt, Mitchell, Nick, and also your brother, sister and their families.
