Dear Karen,
Words can not describe how much for friendship has meant to me!! I miss you so much! I have many treasured memories ❤️ 🦋.

Mrs. Wideners English Class… Graduation from KWHS. The first day you left for FSU. You coming to Augusta for my wedding ❤️❤️❤️. Our reunions…. Staying on base in the duplex on base with Mitch and I. I remember the wonderful visit we had in Monroe when I was recovering from my foot surgery. We made sweet pickles after going to the farmers market in the North Georgia Mountains. Spending the day in Helen. Making Authentic Picadillo, Black Beans, Yellow Rice, Plantains…. Cuban Bread from Publix! and maybe Key Lime Pie!!!

We were in the process of making plans to get together again💔💔.

Most of all I will cherish the hours on end… our at least once daily telephone conversations where we shared the events of our lives. I never dreamed that when we spoke the morning of 10/12… before you went to do some work to clean up after hurricane IAN that it would be our last conversation. Just as seashells are treasures of the sea. Friends are treasures of a lifetime.
Heaven has gained an Angel way too soon. I miss you but my treasured memories will always live close to my heart. Please Rest in Peace!

To my second mom and greatest support, I will always be lost without you. I still have never, nor will ever be able to be complete without you in my life. Every positive moment is taken back by a moment of silence for the thoughts of joy each experience would bring you. I know you're watching them all from up above, but my selfish nature can't help but continue to wish you were here in the flesh with me. I pray for another moment to remind you how beautiful you are. I pray for strength to encourage Kenzie and Marley when they are feeling sad. I pray that someday instead of just saying it, I will actually feel happy moments again knowing you are right by our side. I pray for the strength to look forward to the future with full joy instead of sorrow knowing how special it would have been for you to partake in special moments like the girls graduation, birthdays or even weddings. The gift of joy and spontaneity you have brought into my life is something I will never take for granted and certainly will pass onto the girls. Your ability to see that we only have one life to live and might as well enjoy it, has made me into the inspirational, caring and generous person I am today. You were always ready for a impromptu trip to Slippery Rock, a cruise to the Caribbean, a cabin stay at Fort Wilderness or anywhere we could spend time as a family. Your amazing accomplishments and the lives you've touched with your gentle heart led me to the career of nursing which I'm forever thankful for. Your kindness towards helping animals and those who are weak has given me empathy and understanding for others that cannot compare. I am so grateful to have gotten 31 beautiful years on earth with you and even more so to watch your love for Kenzie and Marley flourish as you brought us all such joy. I'm so honored by your love and respect for John and the man he is to us. You helped me realize that if a man didn't compare in values to grandpa, then I didn't need one and boy were you right. I watched you care for Grandpa and Grandma over the years expecting nothing in return but showing them your love for them. It is so rare to find such a truly pure soul as yours in a lifetime, but to have you raise me as your daughter and befriend me as your niece is the absolute biggest blessing I am forever grateful for. I may not have the strength now to listen to your voice or watch videos without tears streaming down my face, but I know that I will one day be able to turn your memory into one that brings me all the happiness, joy and laughter you brought me here on earth. I love you more than life Kare Bear. Forever your LoveBug!
