Karen Lynn Watt's Obituary
Karen Lynn Watt passed away October 12th, 2022 at age 64. She was born in Great Lakes, Illinois to Philamae Ybarra and Robert Henry Watt. Karen has been a resident of Cape Coral since 1980. She was a Registered Nurse in Lee County after graduating from Florida State University in 1980 with her Bachelors Degree in Nursing.
Karen is survived by her step mother, Barbara Watt-Biggs, her sister Sandra Watt Gantt, her niece, Stephanie Watt, and her great nieces, Kenzie, Haylee and Marley, along with many others that she held close to her heart.
Karen was a passionate animal lover, spending much of her free time rescuing and caring for a variety of abandoned pets. She loved traveling and spending time with her family and friends who she loved like family. Karen enjoyed reading, embroidery, hooking rugs and throwing pottery. She was an absolutely self-less beautiful soul who lit up the life of everyone's she knew.
At this time, the family plans to do a Celebration of Life Ceremony with the date and location to be determined. In Lieu of flowers, her family asks if those that are able, make a donation to Helping Paws Animal Sanctuary located at 10060 Mallory E Pkwy, St James City, FL 33956.
