My dad and Ken were bowling buddies. Dad and I often had pancakes with the Issels after church on Sunday mornings back in the late 60’s and early 70’s. My younger brother and I played a bit of tennis with him and some of his tennis partners in PA. We traded birthday cards and Christmas cards ever since. I’ll miss my Florida connection.
Mr. Issell was one of my favorite teachers from Roslyn. He had a great rapport with his students. Glad he got to enjoy a long life.
Ken enjoyed the student camping trips at Roslyn and enjoying playing the “dead ants game” with them.A very nice man who served his country.I taught with him at Roslyn.
I worked with Ken at Glenside Weldon for many years and have such fond memories. Ken was a lovely man and had a great sense of humor. He was loved by his students. Peace Ken!
Ken was my 6th grade teacher at The old Roslyn Elementary school back in 1970. He was a very nice teacher, kind , helpful and caring. He use to call me Foisy!
