Kevin Lee Gaines, 66, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away peacefully in his home on July 8, 2023 following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was a wonderful and caring son, brother, husband, father, coach, teacher, and friend. Kevi Read Obituary
The Gaines were wonderful neighbors to our son , Jared when he lived on Yorkshire. He welcomed that Ohio boy and was always willing to help out, loaning tools and advice. Our sympathy to the family

Coach Gaines will be remembered, honored and praised for being a truly great human being. As a coach and mentor he had the gift to engage any topic honestly and openly. His service as an educator/coach should and will serve as a remarkable example of an individual understanding their true vocation. He extended dignity at all times and costs. He cared for you. He laughed with you. He showed up for you. His life was an example for you to follow and admire. I am and many others, especially at Bishop Verot, are better because of Kevin Gaines.
