Laura Sorrent Leishman?áof Ft. Myers, Florida, formerly of Holden (Logan County) West Virginia passed away on May 25, 2011 at the age of 93 years.?á She was the youngest of 7 children and the last survivor of Vincent and?áElizabeth Sorrent.?á Laura?áand her late husband George were longtime employees?áof the Island Creek Coal Company in Holden, WV.?á She was a member of the Church of the Resurrection for?á30?á years.?á Laura?áwas?áactive in many volunteer organizations at both Logan and Fort Myers and was an avid bridge player.?á Survivors include 2 nieces and 7 nephews as well as a number of great nieces and nephews.?á She was surrounded by many wonderful friends at wherever she resided.?á Her family will receive friends at Fort?áMyers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on?áTuesday, May 31, 2011 from 9:30 – 10:30 AM.?á A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM in Church of the Resurrection with Father Teofio Useche as the celebrant.
