I first met Laurie when my future wife (Nancy on the left) invited Laurie to “little siblings” weekend at Kent State University. Laurie was about 16 years old and arrived with a fake ID. The first bar we went to was the Dome. Laurie didn’t need to present her ID to the door guard and sailed right in. However, Nancy was questioned and her ID was scrutinized before she was allowed in. Quite a delay!!! This was the first big laugh I enjoyed with Laurie. There was a lifetime of these that followed. She will be missed by me and many.❤️❤️❤️

Laurie and I shared the love of Jimmy Buffett‘s music. Around 1997 she heard that Jimmy Buffett was doing a concert in Columbus where Nancy and I live. The show was in July around my birthday. Laurie contacted Nancy and suggested they arrange a surprise outing for me for my birthday. Laurie came down from Michigan to join us. It was a fabulous concert and one of my best birthdays. She always had plenty of fun ideas. I’ll surely miss her.

Laurie was a wonderful sister and managed to make it to many family events, despite living in different states. I always enjoyed my visits with her in sunny Florida.She will be missed by everyone.
