I was sad to hear of Jimâ??s passing, but understanding the kind of person he was, know that he squeezed more excitement, joy and accomplishment out of life than any two other people I know combined. Jim gave me one of my very first jobs at his company, Relyco, and more importantly, served as a mentor for me, teaching me about both business and about life even after he retired. He led by example, attacking every task, great or small, with equal vengeance, and holding himself to as high a standard as he held others. I will always remember working after hours alongside Jim, listening as he boisterously belted out the words to his favorite classic rock tunes, like â??Dream Onâ? and â??Whole Lotta Love.â? The singing was utterly atrocious, but the carefree enthusiasm with which he screeched those lyrics was truly infectious, and one couldnâ??t help but smile at the sound of them. He did not hold anything back, ever, but rather poured his heart and soul into everything he did, regardless of othersâ?? reactions to his efforts. Some people whistle while they work. Jim sang. Loudly. His words will no longer be heard, but they will never be forgotten, for they left a lasting impression of assurance and optimism on everyone fortunate enough to have known him.Aaron WensleyDover, NH
