Marian K Walker's Obituary
Marian K. Walker, a beloved wife, mother, and member of her community, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the age of 99. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Born on December 27, 1925, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Marian dedicated her life to her family and her faith. A devoted housewife, she poured her heart into raising her children, John and Larry, creating a loving and nurturing home filled with warmth and laughter. Her boundless energy and unwavering love were the cornerstones of her family life.
Beyond her role as a mother, Marian possessed a vibrant spirit and a talent for music. A skilled organist at Church, she brought joy to countless congregants with her beautiful playing. Her rendition of "Robin's Return" was a particular favorite, a testament to her musical sensitivity and ability to touch hearts through melody.
Marian also enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, finding immense satisfaction in the rhythm and camaraderie of tap dancing and line dancing. She embraced life with grace and enthusiasm, always ready with a smile and a kind word.
She is survived by her children, Larry Yurick and Dr. John Yurick; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many cherished friends.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation in her honor on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Slater Road Baptist Church, from 10:00 a.m. until a Funeral Service beginning at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be held at a later date at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
Marian will be remembered not only for her musical talent and joyful spirit, but most importantly for her unwavering love and dedication to her family. Her legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.
