Marvin R. Yeomans, 72, of Ft. Myers, FL passed away Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Hope Hospice in Lehigh Acres, FL following an extended illness. He was born October 1, 1946 in Ft. Myers, FL to Dempsey and Frances Yeomans, who preceded Read Obituary
I didn’t know Marvin that well, but had become acquainted with him back when I knew his mother Frances. He was a fine man — intelligent, kind and friendly. We, along with his wife Barbara, had some good conversations. I am saddened by this loss and wish to express my utmost sympathy to his wife and other family members. I can say without reservation that my brother Arthur Carroll shares this loss.

We loved visiting with Marvin (and Barb) on each of our visits to FL! Loved having Marvin take us around his property and tell us all about what they had planted or what birds had been visiting, etc. Beautiful yard that he took such good care of! We will sure miss him! Love and prayers to all of Marvin’s family. May you find comfort in wonderful memories. I posted a photo of our most recent visit in Feb. this year. (Myself & two of my adult children, Tony & Katie along with Barb & Marvin) The past couple of years it was so nice to get Marvin in front of the camera…whereas for many years he insisted on being behind it! I valued Marvin’s friendship while working at the U.S.P.S. He was taken far too early and I will miss his humor and friendship.

I’ve known Marvin for 46 years during our time working at the USPS in Fort Myers at different locations. Times we didn’t see each other do to job location or where we were living. Marvin and I would pick up where we left off. Marvin never forgot our friendship. He was a great friend. Had great sense of humor. We would always reminisce about old Fort Myers when we were growing up and wishing it was the same today. Marvin passed away far to early. Great man and friend. I will miss you and will never forget the friendship we had.

Marvin was a dear friend of almost 60 years. We had a lot in common and although we were miles apart in residences, we were always in touch. He will be dearly missed, but never forgotten. Rest in peace my dear friend.
