Mary Giffin's Obituary
Mary Giffin, 87, passed away January 24, 2016 from complications of Lewy Body dementia in Fort Myers. She grew up in Ashland, Pennsylvania with her parents and five brothers. After training to be an RN at Temple University, she married her beloved Allyn B. Giffin, MD and moved to St. Petersburg in 1950. She was the wonderful mother to three girls, Ann Hurley, Jane Baird (Bill), and Becky Leiting (Dale) and grandmother to seven grandchildren, Darcy Cohen, Spencer Cohen, Morgan Hurley, Lindsay Cancel (Jaime), Collin Baird, Stephanie Hoehn (Steven), Ann Katherine Leiting, and Giffin Leiting. A memorial service will be held in St. Petersburg this summer. Memorial contributions can be made to Hope Hospice of Fort Myers. Condolences may be left to the family at www.fortmyersmemorial.com.
