I wanted to express my condolences to the Devos family at the passing of MaryAnn. I took a PMC certification class that MaryAnn and Ken taught up in Gatlinburg. She was such a joy and positive influence on my art. She was inspiring and took such a common sense approach to creating the most fabulous art. Her books were the best and easiest to follow. Tomorrow marks one month since MaryAnn left us. Actually, she just moved from one aspect to another. We may not be able to see her like we did a month ago but we can see her in so many parts of the world around us. Whether at the beach or in the woods or looking at the daughters and grand kids, she is there and a part of our lives. Just look over your shoulder and she will be there, smiling back at us.
My wife Carole and I worked with MaryAnn and Ken to published three books featuring her wonderful artwork and instruction. Marianne was a true artist with a generous heart. it was a pleasure to work with her on â??Introduction to Precious Metal Clayâ? she held nothing back, giving her trade secrets, special techniques and years of experience to all students. She loved to teach and pass on her passion for the arts. That will be her legacy. We love you MaryAnn, the art world has lost one of the good ones.
