My deepest sympathy to the spouse, children, grandchildren and everyone who knew Al. I had the pleasure of meeting Al 23 years ago. I was amazed at his kind, gentle and generous nature. He was instrumental in changing my life when he encouraged and supported me in returning to college to further my degree in nursing. He literally changed my life! We talked every now and again...and would give anything to see him one more time. RIP my dear friend.
Hearing the stories from Al's kids at the memorial today, I am reminded again how grateful I was to have Al in my life when I was growing up. So happy to see how much love he gave and received in the final chapters of his life - living those years fully.
Glad I got to travel to Fort Myers one sunny, January day in 2020 just to have lunch and tell him in person how much I had appreciated him as dad - how lasting that impact was.

We are sad that you have gone, but we know that your soul is enjoying new adventures in heaven with Nina and Maurice. What a wonderful, eventful life you had! We remember all the good times that we had together. Thanks for the memories.
