To my Dad... I'm sorry I wasn't there as much as you would have liked. We had our differences and we were simply too much alike. I loved you for everything you taught me, for the values you instilled me, and for the strength you gave me. I loved you for the man you once were. I loved you until your last breath and I will always love you because you were my Dad. We once discussed where our "happy places" were. You told me that flying your plane was the one place you could go to when you needed to get away from life's challenges and just be free. As I held your hand in those last moments, I told you to get into your plane and fly off into the sunset. I hope this gave you some peace as you passed on.
With love,
Jerri
