Melvin "Mel" Voss' Obituary
Melvin “Mel” Voss, 88, of Fort Myers, FL, passed away at GulfCoast Hospital with his daughter by his side on Thursday May 7, 2026. He was born Sept. 30, 1937 in Cook County, IL to Jurien and Alvina Voss.
Mel was an entrepreneur and successful business owner. One of his lifetime achievements was becoming a 32 degree Mason with the Masonic Lodge in South Bend, IN. His passion was flying his Cessna “Tango”.
Mel is survived by his daughter Jerri Howard, son in law David Howard, grandchildren Amber Howard-Rodriguez (Franky Rodriguez), Devin Howard, Tyler Voss, and 2 great grandchildren.
Mel is preceded in death by his parents, wife and soulmate Ellen, and son Terry Voss.
A Memorial Service will be held 10:00am Saturday June 6, 2026 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL. 33907
