Michael James Holly, 58, of Fort Myers died at his residence, October 29, 2015.Funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday November 3, 2015 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd. Fort Myers, FL 33097. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Monday, November 2, 2015 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.Burial will be at Philadelphia Memorial Cemetery in Frazer, PA.Memorials: Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.Michael was born July 8, 1957 in Erie, PA, the son of Robert and Jeanne (Calabrese) Holly. He worked as food and beverage manager for Holiday Inn in Fort Myers. Prior to that, he worked for many years at Sanibel Harbour Resort and Spa in Ft. Myers as room service manager. He was a member of Church of the Resurrection in Fort Myers. He hosted a number of events to support the Harry Chapin Food Bank. Michael also served as the hotel’s local chairperson to support fundraising efforts for Give Kids the World. Michael served as a mentor of student interns from FGCU’s School of Resort and Hospitality Management.He was an avid chess player and enjoyed playing tennis. He was a Philadelphia Eagles fan at heart. Michael will be remembered as the nicest, sweetest man who always had time for everyone and made them feel special.Pre-deceased by Robert J.
