Connor adored his “Uncle Mike”. They shared a love for art and Mike admired Connors drawings. He would constantly shower Connor with words of encouragement and Mike would look over at me in amazement boasting “Connor is so talented.” It made Connors heart so happy and full. He was such an amazing man, and he will be greatly missed.
Mike was my father-in-law and I knew him since I was 18 years old. I remember when I was 9 months pregnant with my first child he would pick me up and take out to the Alva Diner for “second breakfast” while Cole was working. He would tell me jokes and we would laugh and have so much fun together. When that child was born I had the hardest time sleeping. Being a new mom I awoke to every noise she made. Mike would come and get her every single night for the first few months and rock her and hold her till sometimes 2am so I could sleep. I’ll never forget how excited he was to be a grandfather and how much he loved our children.
One of my many happy memories of Mike is playing cards, and Mike jumping up from the table to grab his guitar. "Mary Manya!" he said " Listen to this" and off he'd go, playing some rip from a favorite song. He had a true joy for music and love for life. Rest In Peace Mike. You were loved by so many, your sons, who were your hearts delight, will carry on your spirit.
