Michael Duane Streets' Obituary
Michael Duane Streets, age 63, of Lakeland, Florida, passed away on September 11, 2021, in Cape Coral, Florida. On November 7, 1957, he was born to his parents, Cecil “Bud” and Marion JoAnn Streets.
This incredible man was a painter, musician, inventor, soldier, entrepreneur, husband, and father. He is known widely for his revolutionary healthcare funding approach and painting techniques involving epoxy resins and acrylic paints. Michael was indeed a Renaissance man, skilled in many things.
Michael served in the United States Army as a military policeman stationed in Germany. During his duty, he qualified as an expert marksman and was recognized as the honor graduate of his basic training. Michael was co-founder of Monti Eligibility and Denial Solutions (M.E.D.S.) and CEO of HealthFund Solutions. His businesses provided hospitals with the necessary funding to treat thousands of impoverished and severely ill patients.
Michael was preceded in death by his son, Nash Burke Streets, in 1993. He looked forward to the day when he would get to play with his angel boy again.
Michael is survived by his beautiful wife and business partner, Karen Streets; two sons, Cole Streets and Jack Streets; two daughters-in-law, Erica Streets and Kathy Streets; three grandchildren, Sunny Streets, Levi Streets, and Willow Streets; and his dog, Kanella. Michael was exceptionally loved by his family, with his wife and boys all considering him their best friend. He is remembered most for his love of others, generous nature, creative mind, and joyous spirit.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907. A Service will begin at 10:00 AM in the large chapel at the funeral home.
