Just one of my fondest memories of Myra Waldee, growing up across the street from her in Tanglewood! One Christmas, I was playing with my Barbie camper outside and Santa had brought Cherise one too!!! Well that started my friendship with the Waldees!
It was a Wednesday night, Cherise invited me to her Church, Broadway Church of God.
My family went to McGregor Baptist when it was on McGregor. I remember telling Cherise I didn't like wearing dresses. She said "we could wear jeans, it Wednesday night!" I was all in!!
I truly believe that Myra's faith in raising her daughters to witness to others was instrumental to my Salvation!!! I wouldn't be saved today!!! Thank you Myra! I will miss you terribly but I know you are walking on streets of gold now...✝️📖🥲😍😘

Myra, a radiant light in my life, was more than just a friend; she was a mentor who molded me into a better person. As the leader of our Worship Team, she guided Craig, my husband, and me through music, inspiring us to serve with humble hearts. Myra imparted invaluable lessons in hospitality and ministry. She was always eager to participate in any activity, from a lighthearted skit to an inspiring seminar. Our annual Fall Festival at Walden Farm was a cherished tradition, bringing joy to everyone involved. And oh, her cooking! At every fellowship dinner, the line for her delectable dishes was long, as people eagerly awaited her culinary creations. I’ll never forget the laughter we shared, especially when Craig fell through the curtain during our performance with Pat Boone! Myra encouraged us to behave, but we all couldn’t resist the giggles and ended up in stitches. There are so many cherished memories to share, but they will forever be etched in my heart.

Myra, I love you and I thank you for infusing our lives with faith, joy, laughter, and love. You will be deeply missed. Your legacy will continue on throughout future generations!

Myra was a wonderful Christian witness to me. We worked together with young children and she helped me grow as a Christian. Her home cooking was incredible. Her dedication to Christ was a superb example to those who knew her.
