We just heard that dear Neville has passed away. What a lovely, sweet man he was! We will miss him very much, but we were so privileged to have known him and Liz. He was my second cousin once removed, from a side of the family that we knew nothing about until I was contacted by Liz through a genealogy website in 1997. Thus began a friendship with my husband and I and my parents. They visited us here in Ottawa and we went down to Florida several times to see them. We kept in touch by email for years We will never forget how warm and welcoming they were… we were so lucky to have known them. We send the family our sincere condolences and wish you all long life.

Just heard of Neville’s death. We had the honour of knowing and holidaying with Neville through his marriage to Liz, my lovely school friend. I can truly say that we have loved and admired this lovely man since the moment we met him. You have been truly blessed to have had such a special man in your family.

Neville is the last of his Snrvloff generation - my Mother Phyllis (Golding), Aunts Marjorie (Lewis), Muriel (Smith), Maurice, Wolf and Laurence. With two Shevloff brothers marrying two Lazarus sisters, they were always that much closer. Neville was a maths graduate from Manchester University, later worked on aircraft development for A. V. Roe (Avro) in Chadderton, often visiting the company's airfield & hangars at Woodford (Cheshire) to inspect development of the company's Wellington bomber which helped defeat Nazi Germany. Later with Avro in Canada.
My words cannot speak fondly enough of Neville, one of the nicest people I have known. He will be remembered by all my children (Jacob in Austin Tx, Daniel and Victoria (London) with great affection, my wife Fay and myself - words cannot express our deepest love and affection. Neville was a great Mancunian.
May your soul Rest in Peace. We wish Michael and his family "Long Life".
